With rampant digitisation of procedures pan India, checking up the voter’s list has also become a digital affair and prospective voters can now check the list and find out if they are eligible to cast their votes.
Publishing date of the Voters list
In order to get things started ahead of time, the West Bengal government issued the voter’s list on the 15th of January 2021.
Objective behind digitising the Voter List procedure
The State government intends to offer convenience to the people and hence has decided to offer the details of voting available online. This is so that the residents of West Bengal are not expected to visit any office in particular in order to see their name on the list or find out other related information.
Downloading the Voter’s List 2021
The Voter ID and the Voter’s list are essential documents when elections are around. In order to have a better view of things, it is always advisable to download the Voter list, which is also known as the Voter Verification list.
On the West Bengal website, you will be able to find the list of Voters. To get to your name, you can sift through the list in accordance to your Polling station, from which you will be able to track down if your name has made it to the list, the EPIC number, polling station and Booth number details, and much more.
Here is how you can download the list:
- Visit the official website of CEO West Bengal Voter List under the West Bengal Election Commission.
- On the homepage, you will need to search the “Electoral Roll” option which is present in the middle of the webpage. You can get a better view of the page here:

- The Electoral roll page will be displayed on the screen:

- On that page, you are expected to select the name of your district and a new page will appear:

- You can then choose your assembly constituency name, and a new section will appear which will appear as shown here:

- Then, you can click on “Final Roll” in front of the polling station and the Voter’s list of that specific area will open on the screen.
- This page displays a dialogue box to verify the captcha code
- Then, a new page will open which will offer you the information in relation to your voting details like booth number, etc.
